Today my friend and creative mentor Randy Elrod published his memoirs. A Renaissance Redneck in a Mega-Church Pulpit launches today during one of my favorite annual events, the Re:Create Conference in Franklin, Tennessee. This book is a very compelling and honest look at a creative leader's journey. You may not be able to agree with all of what is said in this book, but not reading it as a leader in the church would be a mistake!

Here are what other's are saying about Elrod's new book:

“Randy Elrod draws you into his tapestry of Appalachian mystery, poverty, and backwoods religion with words dripping of color and pain, depth and honesty. There are images in this book that will stay with me always. The sign of a great writer is one who paints in a way that you cannot erase from your memory."

—Cindy Morgan, 21 #1 radio hits, a 2014 Grammy nomination and the prestigious GMA Songwriter of the Year award.

“When a book makes you laugh out loud, it is a winner.  When it makes you cry, it is a truth-teller. But when it changes you, it becomes a wise friend. Randy Elrod has managed all three of these in  A Renaissance Redneck in a Mega-Church Pulpit.”

Margaret Becker, award-winning Singer/Songwriter and author

Every pastor should read this before hiring the next staff member. It might help to see how a creative perceives reality; it just might help the pastors to see themselves more clearly, also!”

Rev. L. C. Campbell, Jr., founding Pastor, Nettles Island Church, Stuart, FL, and my former pastor at Church #2 of this book

I encourage you to buy this on Amazon!
